You will listen to the ones labled Law and Disorder; it should be the first one that shows up. Remember to make a list of the 5 books from this group you would like to read - I will give you the official form this week.

After selecting your book, please complete Meeting Form #1. Choose a recorder for today.
The recorder will: open this document, type in information, save and then upload to Google Docs. Please share document with group members and me. On the sheet they will need to indicate which topic they will discuss in addition to the characterization tasks to discuss. (The topics are on one side of the handout – “Sample Questions”. Please tell them/remind them to read my instructions on the wiki.
They should take the dual tang folder form their file folder in the crate. Write their name on it, and place the handout (the one you handed out) in the folder. Return the folder to their file folder (in the crate), and then they need to move on to the next task.

First students evaluated three questions - which were good questions and why.
Then we reviewed characteristics/qualities of good questions - see attached document.
During discussion students were to share questions.
Then after the discussion, students were to record and evaluate their own questions.
Meeting 3:Monday, February 15 (rescheduled date)
Complete the following activity for literature circles. Please bring a hard copy of the document or be ready to share the link for your recorded task.
1. Pick a selection from your literature circle book - a small paragraph or a few sentences.
2. Record in writing or in audio your thoughts as your read this - your think aloud.
3. Draw or include a picture that represents your thoughts.

When I think of December, I get
I get happy. It means snow, presents,
and time with my Dad. Why scary?

Frightened was the way he had felt a year ago when an
unidentified aircraft had flown over the community twice.
He had seen it both times. Squinting toward the sky, he
had seen the sleek jet, almost a blur at its high speed, go
past, and a second later, from the opposite direction, the
same place.
I really don't like this. It reminds me of
September 11.
